FIBREGLASS THATCH ROOF RIDGES

DESCRIPTION

  • We manufacture and supply Fibreglass Thatch Roof Ridges based on SANS 10407 (Thatch Roof Construction) and THE THATCHERS ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA’S requirements to the Construction Sector.
  • Two DIFFERENT DESIGNS are available to choose from, a standard straight and sleek design or a more robust design with an added curve for extra rigidity.
  • JOINING KITS including a basic instruction pamphlet on how to properly join Roof Ridges on site are sold separately.
  • Our Roof Ridges are manufactured on order, we do however carry LIMITED STOCK at our facility.

SPECIFICATION OF OUR MATERIAL UTILISED FOR THATCHED ROOF RIDGES

  • 900gr CSM (Chopped Strand Mat) per m2 with additional 900gr CSM on bottom section of the Ridge for additional tie-down strength.
  • Laminated with a Black Pigmented UV-Resistant resin.

LIMITATIONS

  • Fibreglass Ridges does fade in colour over time due to sun exposure, treatment with a suitable rubberised / waterproofing paint after installation therefor strongly recommended.

We do not install or maintain Roof Ridges, we only manufacture and supply to Thatching Contractors. We can however recommend reputable Thatching Companies on request.
